High River Chamber of Commerce President Steven Muth is supportive of the merger of the Wildrose and PC Parties into the United Conservative Party.

He says time will tell whether or not the UCP, if they win the next election, will be "good for business."

"Unfortunately, some administrations, ergo the current Provincial administration and current Federal administration, have different ideas as to what "business friendly" is, or "small business friendly" is versus what the Chamber of Commerce and what a lot of business owners would."

He says the Chamber of Commerce supports any movement to support and help small business grow and flourish, which he says is good for everybody.

Muth says cuts proposed by UCP leadership hopeful Brian Jean to balance the budget would have to show where money will come from to replace the money brought out of the budget in his proposed cuts.
