Holy Spirit Academy in High River has come up with some unique prizes in a raffle that aims to bring technology to the classroom.

Jacquie Williamson says the goal is to raise $10,000 to purchase Chrome Books for students...

"The nice thing about Chrome Books is they have great Internet access and then the storage capability is adequate for elementary grades as well," she says. "They seem to be fairly cost effective and also durable so that's why they've been selected."

She says they hope to get the money raised into the hands of the school this summer so they can get the Chrome Books into the hands of at least two classes by the fall.

Only 1,000 tickets are being sold with the grand prize a trip to the ranch set of the television show Heartland with a chance to meet the cast and crew while they're filming.

Tickets are available at the Museum of the Highwood.
