It's going to be a long, slow drive for those heading into the City for work Friday, November 16.

Snow and blowing snow has drastically reduced visibility on area highways.

Add in drifting snow, particularly around bridge decks and run up's, and that adds up to a slow moving commute.

On the plus side, this strong north wind is expected to calm down later this morning, in fact the wind warning's already been lifted for Calgary, which means conditions will likely improve as you get closer to the City.

The skies will clear by late Friday afternoon which will make the drive home a lot easier.
