Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for High River as gusts near 100 km/h are developing along the foothills.

According to Environment Canada the winds are expected to spread eastwards this morning, resulting in local wind speeds near 90 km/h.

"The winds may cause reduced visibility in blowing snow, be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions due to high winds."

The gusty winds should diminish the afternoon.
