The news that Foothills County and Trans-Canada have moved ahead with an agreement on a 20 acre parcel of land for a new Emergency Services Training Centre is music to the ears of High River Fire Chief Len Zebedee.

He says it's been a long time coming.

"It's something that I've certainly have pushed for to move forward with and wrote a number of letters over the years to try to get this moving forward. So, its going to be a great thing once it gets going here."

There's no time line for construction on the new centre, but both the County and the Town of High River will move forward quickly with planning and development of the land north of High River.
