The Country Music Association Awards were last night and you completely forgot about them like I did (I know, I'm a bad country fan!), and just don't feel like googling them, I have all the winners right here for you.
Entertainer of the Year: Garth Brookes
Single of the Year: Blue Ain’t Your Colour, Keith Urban
Album of the Year: Chris Stapleton’s From A Room: Volume 1
Song of the Year: Better Man, sung by Little Big Town written by Taylor Swift
Female Vocalist of the Year: Miranda Lambert
Male Vocalist of the Year: Chris Stapleton
Vocal Group of the Year: Little Big Town
Vocal Duo of the Year: Brothers Osbourne
Musical Event of the Year: Funny How Time Slips, Glen Campbell and Willie Nelson
Musician of the Year: MacMcNally
Music Video of the Year: Brothers Osbourne, It Ain’t My Fault
New Artist of the Year: Jon Pardi
So many great artists this year, it must have been hard to choose the winners, but there were a few misses...
I think Eric Church should have gotten Entertainer of the Year because he puts on shows like no other! Up the three hours of his songs, incredible covers and he's been bringing us hits all year.
I think Flordia Georgia Line should have recieved Vocal Duo of the year, because I have heard them release way more singles and videos and go on way more tours and announce way more tours than Brothers Osbourne. To be completely honest, I kind of forgot about Brothers Osbourne after September... #sorrynotsorry.
It's weird that Jon Pardi was New Artist of the Year because he's been in the industry since 2015... but what do I know? I think he's great, just not new... that is a hard category.
I'm actually surprised Lindsay Ell, Carly Pearce or High Valley weren't nominated for anything. They have all been making huge names for themselves all year! There's always next year!
My mom PVR'd it for me, so I will watch it tonight. I do congratulate all of the winners!!!
