High River's Jason Glass is still the man to beat at the Stampede's Rangeland Derby.

He had the 13th fastest time of the night Thursday night, but remains on top of the aggregate after seven nights of racing.

Glass actually tied Kirk Sutherland for the fast time of the night, at 1:14.47, but his outrider knocked a barrel costing him a couple of seconds.

Glass, Sutherland, Mitch Sutherland & Vern Nolin are the top four.

Kurt Bensmiller, Luke Tournier, Gary Gorst and Evan Salmond make up the top eight heading into the final night of qualifying.

Okotoks Mark Sutherland was ninth on the night and moves to 18th in the aggregate, but with one night of racing to go before the semi's, and three seconds to make up, barring a miracle, he won't be getting a shot at the $100,000.

High River's Jordie Fike was 21st Thursday night moving to 26th in the aggregate.
