Graduation for Notre Dame Collegiate this year is once again going to look different.

But it's not what you might think, they have been given AHS approval to host their full ceremony in the Pason Centennial Arena in Okotoks.

NDC Principal Jodi deKlerk is really excited they were given the green light just two weeks ago.

"It's super exciting, crazy planning to do in two weeks but we're going to have all our grads together and...full ceremony at the Pason.  And so, with following social distancing and Alberta Health Services rules we can fit in our graduates, and five or six family members and we're going to do the full graduation."

deKlerk went on to say they're planning on dressing up the arena to create a special atmosphere for the grads and they've hired audio specialists to ensure everyone can hear the ceremony, seating charts are in place, tickets available for parents and family members and it all gets going at noon this Thursday June 24.

The original plan was to have the ceremony in the NDC gymnasium with only students and then livestreamed for parents and family.
