Just like the rest of us, farmers need to plan for their future financially.

That's where Saad Rehman comes in.

He's a Senior Wealth Advisor with ScotiaMcLeod who says producers need to have a plan specialized to them.

"There's a lot of farmers, where they've been sold various products over the years, whether they're insurance or investment related. Really you need to get information out there because they've been taken advantage of. Some of those investments aren't suited for them. Sometimes they've been sold the wrong insurance products. And with all the rule changes pertaining to the wealth management industry, it's important to review and see if what you have is what you thought you have. And whether or not that would work for them going forward or not."

Rehman says his job is to provide an integrated approach between investment management, practice management and tax planning.
