With the football season set to kick off this Friday. The Foothills Falcons are once again looking for for player sponsorship with their Adopt-A-Falcon campaign.

Local businesses can help support a Falcon player or the team as a whole with the sponsorship.

Adopt-A-Falcon coordinator Lori Yeats says the program is a great way to help community kids play football.

"Adopt-A-Falcon was brought forward as a means for us to do fundraising for the team," she says. "We wanted to do something that would fundraising yet bring the community in and hopefully have them take part and interact with our players."

Yeats breaks down the costs for Adopt-A-Falcon this season.

"A full adoption this year would be $750 and a partial adoption we're running at $500 as usual," she says. "This helps the kids out, the parents a lot of them can't afford them especially if they have two players in the program.

Yeats says adopting a Falcon can be a great way to give back to players in the program.

"It helps the families out, if they get full funding then they don't have to pay, if they get partial funding they have to make up the rest," she says. "So if they get a $500 dollar adoption they'll have to pay $250 or they'll have to go out into the community and get another one for $250, so it really does help out the families involved.
