An Amber Alert has ended after a two-year-old was abducted, police say.

At 2:30 p.m. on Thursday (Jan. 27), police allege a two-year-old was abducted from downtown Calgary.

Reports say he was abducted following a supervised visit with his mother.

The Calgary Police Service confirmed at 10:20 p.m. they safely located the two-year-old.

More than 70 CPS members were actively involved in the search.

Resources were called in from across the CPS, including patrol, covert resources, tactical officers, and crisis negotiators, which ultimately led investigators to their location.

Police thanked the public for their help in the incident.
