Another casting call has gone out for a Netflix series filming in the Calgary area.

An Indigenous extras casting call was issued for The Abandons.

Netflix's website includes a synopsis of the western drama.

"The Abandons tells the story of a group of diverse renegade families living on the fringes of society in 1850s Oregon. These lost souls band together to fight corrupt forces and do anything they can to save their land. The Western series will explore the jagged line between survival and law, the consequences of violence, and the corrosive power of secrets as this makeshift family battles to keep what’s theirs."

Top billing for the cast is Lena Headey (Game of Thrones, 300) and Gillian Anderson (The X-Files, The Crown).

The casting call says they're looking for Indigenous men, women, and children of all ages.

Shooting for the show is currently underway and will be until October 17.

The casting call is being held today (May 29) at the Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino from 12-8 P.M.
