A group that opposes a proposed biodigester in Foothills County is hoping a lot of people will put pen to paper today.

The provincial government put the brakes on wind and solar renewable energy projects two weeks ago, and the biodigester opponents believe this project brings the same concerns.

They want the UCP government to put it on hold until more research is done and area residents are consulted.

They'll be set up at the Heritage Inn with an open letter to the government to put a hold on biodigester projects.

They're also looking for people to sign a petition they plan to deliver to the legislature.

They'll be at the hotel from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. today.
