Bowling is the best! At any age!

On Sunday night, Millenum Lanes in Okotoks held "Bowl for Kids Sake" for Big Brothers Big Sisters’.

It really is the remier fun-raising event! So. Much. Fun.

That night, I was part of our sister stations team, The Eagle 100.9. We recieved the "Most Spirited Team," award of the night. It wasn't too hard to be spirited and enthused as the energy in the bowling alley was high and everyone was there to have a great time.

The whole event ran from 3pm to 7pm.

We were the 5pm team and played three rounds and one round was a "Crazy Bowl" round where we had to bowl on one leg, sitting down, hopping and with one eyed closed... as examples.

Logan and Dave were spinning the tunes, Gino was emceeing and there were so many treats and prizes handed out.

Community memebers and friends, family of all ages, and co-workers and all had a ton fun time while glo bowling in support of Big Brother Big Sister mentoring programs in Okotoks/Calgary Area.

The whole event raised over $10,000!

There are currently 17 eager kids of various ages on the waiting list in Okotoks looking for a Big Brother or Sister.  Big Brothers Big Sisters provides direct service to children in your community by matching volunteers and youths in quality mentoring relationships. Their agency staff members are experts at screening volunteer mentors (you) and matching them with a mentee (the awesome kid) having similar interests.

If you're interested in sharing a few hours of your week to help engage a child with our community, whether it's bowling, going for a bike ride down by the river, going for ice cream at Evelyns Memory Lane, doing Virtual Reality at 11th Hour VR (in Okotoks) in our communities, Big Brothers Big Sisters want you!
