This warm summer day was a busy one in the foothills. A high of 26 today and a lot of people took the streets in Longview and in Nanton today!

Its the Little New York Daze in Longview this weekend and it kicked off with the parade and a pancake breakfast. All the money that was made from the breakfast was going to the Dryland Sailors!

This year's parade and weekend of the Little New York Daze was saluting to the Oil and Gas Industry in Alberta! Lots of well decorated floats rolled down the main street on Longview. Our Sun Country Sunshine Patrol got 3rd place in the commercial vehicle category! Yahoo!!

Other events during Little New York Dazes is a ball tournament, community market, children games, Millarville Musical Ride, and the Bull Riding Challenge!

In the town of Nanton, today was the annual Field of Dreams Show n Shine.

The old, new, and unique vehicles were set up at the ball diamonds and the Bomber Command Museum!  Live entertainment was set up at the Bomber Command Museum and lots of people made it out to the event!
