With the warm weather, and the golf courses open, it's time to be aware of golfers and golf carts crossing the street in High River.

The Town of High River announced on May 30th, that Town Council decided at their May 13th Council meeting that the golf cart crossing at the High View Gate intersection will return to its original straight-through connection.

While the four-way stop will remain in place, there will be several changes made to the High Country Drive and High View Gate intersection.

From June 3rd to 7th, crews will be removing the barriers that are blocking the straight-through connection for golf carts, which may cause short-term delays.

Due to equipment and workers being on the road, there may be periods of one-lane traffic flow, but there will not be a full road closure while the work is being completed.

The four-way stop will experience some adjustments to help make them more visible.

On top of these changes, there will be signage in place for the golf carts.

There will be a stop sign at the edge of the crossing, and the golf cart drivers must adhere to all regular traffic laws and signage.

Golfers and drivers alike are encouraged to use caution at this intersection, and everyone's cooperation is appreciated.
