Alberta lottery players pulled in plenty of dough on the weekend.

According to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation four major lottery prizes were won throughout the province on Friday and Saturday’s LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49 draws.

LOTTO 6/49’s $5 million Classic jackpot was won by a single ticket purchased somewhere in Edmonton. 

The game’s second-highest prize was also won by someone in the province. 

The ticket was purchased somewhere in Alberta, outside of Calgary and Edmonton, and matched five of the six main draw numbers and the Bonus number. 

The prize was shared by three winning tickets, one BOUGHT in Alberta, the other two were purchased somewhere in Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces, winning over $109,000 each.

A pair of Albertans also took home $100,000 EXTRA prizes!

Someone in Calgary is $100,000 richer after matching the last six digits of the EXTRA number drawn on March 1. 

On Saturday, a ticket purchased somewhere in Alberta, outside of Calgary and Edmonton, won $100,000 on the LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA draw. 

The EXTRA number drawn on Saturday’s draw was 4700899, the winning ticket matched the last six digits.
