The Canada Board Service Agency (CBSA) announced that the Chief Mountain port of entry will open the border crossing for the summer, starting Wednesday, May 15.

The border crossing will stay open for just over 4 months, with a closing date of September 30.

Chief Mountain, located on the boundary of Waterton Lakes National Park along Highway 6, had over 55,000 travelers cross the border last year. CBSA expects another busy summer and has already started preparing.

The official hours of operation are as follows:

From May 15 to May 31, the border will be open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

The next date and times are from June 1 to September 2. Travelers can cross from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm through those dates.

The final dates are from September 3 to September 30 which will be between the times of 9:00 am and 6:00 pm.
