The Town of High River is a beehive of activity these days as several projects are on the go as the Town takes advantage of warmer weather.

The construction of the southwest berm has kicked into high gear.

Same story for the Centre Street re-build.

Mayor Craig Snodgrass says you've got to make hay while the sun shines.

"Things are flying with projects that we have going on and they're big projects too. Centre Street's a pain in the butt for everybody. It's our main thoroughfare through town and when it's shut down it's difficult."

Snodgrass says it's nothing new to High River residents over the last few years.

"We do have a grind under construction season in High River. We've been through this for years and years and years and we understand it, but it's still tiring. There's no question. But, it's still important and we have to get it done."

The Town is busy filling potholes and fixing roads, they're going to re-pave the parking area at the recycling depot in a couple of weeks and will start the renovations to the fire hall next week.
