The Okotoks Dawgs moved a game-and-a-half up on the Medicine Hat Mavericks with an 8-0 win over the Bombers Monday night in Brooks.

A big night for Elliot Cary, who had three hits on the night including a solo blast in in the first inning.

J.T. Patterson was also 2-for-5 at the dish with a couple of RBI's, while Ian Scott went six innings picking up his third win of the season for the Dawgs on the mound.

Sam Wong and K.J. Strickland came in in relief, with Wong pitching a scoreless seventh inning, while Strickland pitched the eighth and ninth innings, striking out a pair of batters.

The Dawgs wrap up the regular season at home this week as they'll play the Fort McMurray Giants, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before playing their regular season finale Friday night against the Medicine Hat Mavericks.
