The Okotoks Dawgs clawed back to the .500 mark with an 8-1 win over the Edmonton Prospects Friday night at Seaman Stadium.

Turner Spears led the way for the Dawgs with a couple of hit's and three RBI's on the night.

Leading 3-0 in the bottom of the sixth, the Dawgs exploded for five runs to put the game out of reach.

CJ Lewington had a great night on the mound, pitching eight complete innings, giving up just five hits and striking out six Edmonton batters.

Michael Bucci came in to close out the game in the ninth inning.

The two teams do it all again Saturday night (sat) starting at 7:05 in Okotoks.
