The province of Alberta is joining B.C. and Saskatchewan in praising the end of the Canadian Wheat Board's single desk.

The Wheat Board controls the sales of wheat, durum and barley and western producers want a choice as to who they sell their grain to.

Alberta Ag Minister Jack Hayden says the wheat board should stop fighting the change...



He says markets are changing quickly and young producers want to seek out those new markets.
