The Foothills Falcons are once again Tier II Provincial Football Champions!

They outlasted the St. Joe's Celtics out of Grande Prairie for the second straight year, this time by a 37-4 score.

They beat them 69-14 in last year's game in Edmonton.

Falcons Coach Darren Olson says it was a great win for the school and his players.

"I'm really excited for the kids. Those grade 12 guys did a great job leading us all year. It's exciting for them. Never happened at the school before, so that's exciting too!"

Olson gives credit to grade 10 star running back Peyton Burbank and the offensive line for being big parts of the win.

Falcons running back Peyton Burbank had a great night in the finals running for a pair of touchdown's in the Falcons 37-4 win over the Celtics.

"Burbank did a great job. Our offensive line did a great job protecting him. Tyson did a good job controlling the game, and Price ran well and Ben Tigh playing both ways again tonight. A whole bunch of guys from top to bottom did what they needed to do."

High River's Keaton Neish contributed on special teams and offence for the Falcons. The Grade 10 player will only get better his next couple of years with the Falcons.

Burbank, who scored two touchdown's in the win, along with High River's Keaton Neish will play for Team Alberta in Dallas January 17, 2017 in the International Bowl.

Olson says with 31 returning players heading into next season, he's wondering if they can't build a bit of a dynasty at the Comp.
