Over 180 golfers hit the links at the Highwood Golf and Country Club Friday for the annual High River Flyers-Eli Gosselin Memorial Fundraising Golf Tournament.

The Flyers have been getting huge support financially at the tournament for years, as they're almost always sold out for entries.

But is that success translating with butts in the seats at the rink in the winter?

President Mike Bliss says no.

"Not as much, but maybe that's the next key, is to really promote the team. You know a good team with a winning record really helps the fans, and that has to be our next goal."

Bliss says they'll count up the money over the weekend, but says it looks like it could be their best year ever coming out of the tournament.
