Foothills school closed due to snowfall warning

Due to significant snowfall and high wind warnings throughout the night, Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School will be closed and school will be cancelled on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

Areas of the Foothills are under a snowfall warning from Environment Canada.

Snowfall will begin Sunday, Feb. 19. Particularly along the foothills west of Calgary, which could see 10 to 20 cm overnight. Reduced visibilities in heavy snowfall are anticipated.

Snowfall with the second system will begin late Monday afternoon, bringing another 15 to 25 cm by Tuesday evening.
