There are two school boards looking to build in the Westmount area of Okotoks west of Walmart.
The Public Francophone School has to move from Big Rock School because of a lack of space.
The Foothills School Division has also identified the site as a high priority.
Superintendant Jim McLellan says it doesn't have to be one or the other.
He says they'd like to work together.
Foothills offered the Francophone Board room for portables at Percy Pegler School.
But the town doesn't want to lose the soccer field there.
