The Fury in the Foothills ball hockey tournament is set for Saturday, June 8th this year.

It's the third year since reviving the 3-on-3 tournament after the pandemic.

Teams are made up of five or six players with two players and a goalie making up game play.

Committee member Pam Hurst says it's going to be a busy day.

"We will open registration at 8:30, games will start at 9 and our schedule at this point looks to wrap up at about 4:30.  And it's in the parking lot on the south side of Boston Pizza in High River."

The cost is $300 per team and there is still time to register some teams although the U13's and U15's are already full.

Hurst says they still have some room for the younger ones.

"We do have room in the U7, U9 and U11 categories. Our website is Fury in the Foothills.ca. We have contact information for our committee on there and anyone is welcome to reach out."

Hurst also mentions that more sponsors are always welcome and would be happy to talk to anyone who wants to offer their support.

"We're a non-profit so, any contribution anyone wants to make goes to the cost of running the tournament so that we can keep the fees low for the people that want to join."
