The Fury in the Foothills Street hockey tournament was a resounding success.

Even though the day started off windy and cool it didn't damper the spirit.

One of the organizers Pam Hurst was thrilled with the local support.

"We had lots of really positive feedback. I think overall the kids had a great time. Families really enjoyed the day. We had parents, grandparents, friends watching. It was a great community event where you really felt that sense of community and from start to finish that could be said."

There were also dozens of local sponsors involved.

"Absolutely wonderful to have that support from the community and invest in an event like this that brings so many people together for such a fun and positive experience is just exceptional. Yes, we appreciate it immensely."

Hurst, who had two boys playing in the tourney and two boys refereeing said they're already planning for next year.
