Fans of the t-v show Heartland get a chance to meet the stars of the show Saturday June 16th in High River.

The town's putting on a street party on 3rd Avenue to celebrate a new promotional agreement called High River, The Home of Heartland.

Five members of the cast will be on hand to talk with fans and answer questions. They'll be joined by members of the World Pro Chuckwagon Association who will be racing later that night and Sunday afternoon at the Ag Grounds.

Mayor Emile Blokland says the town's always had a good relationship with the show's producers. "They have and it's a very important thing. People who remember the Beachcombers t-v series, they're still flocking to Gibson's (B.C.) there and in Saskatchewan of course Rouleau Saskatchewan is known as the home of Corner Gas and now High River will be forever known as the home of Heartland."

Maggie's Diner which is used as  a set for the show will actually be open for visitors to take a look.

It all starts at 11:30 downtown.
