High River's Rotary Club flag program is also back

High River's Rotary Club's Canada flag program is back again this year.

The program started up several years ago and continues to grow not just in High River but across other Rotary clubs across the country.

Local Rotarian Alison Arbuthnott-Laycraft said it's a very important fundraiser.

"It's one of our big fundraisers. It's only $50 to rent the flag to come out three times on the May long weekend, Canada Day long weekend, and Labour Day long weekend.  And the flags come up and then they go down again after two weeks. And so, we love that impact in the community, we love that visibility. And you just go online and sign up."

The price hasn't changed either at only $50 for all three weekends.

The club is also working on two other upcoming fundraisers.

They include the Lobster Boil on June 1st and the annual golf tournament at the Highwood Golf and Country Club on July 27.
