The Lomond Lakers are in for a busy weekend with three games in three days starting Friday, October 26 at home to the Three Hills Thrashers.

The Lakers are doing pretty well for an expansion team and Coach Mike Glawson describes them as a "lunch bucket" type of crew, that need to work hard for every bit of success.

"You know we weren't going to get the high end, talent, skill guys coming to us in the first year. I'm OK with that, I'm not disrespecting or taking anything away from any of our players. We've got some skilled hockey players as well. But, we've got to be a team that's goes out and works and competes and has to play that "all-round" game before we're going to be successful."

Glawson says becoming more consistent is key.

The Lakers are in Cochrane Saturday, October 27 and Blackfalds Sunday, October 28.
