The High River Legion has come up with a unique fundraiser and a way to celebrate Veterans this Remembrance Day.

Legion President Bob Collins says you submit a photo of a past or present Veteran and they'll put it onto a banner which will be hung around town.

"We have these banners, they're about 2-feet by four and a half feet. And on there it has the particular veterans name, either him or her and where they served. So it'll be to recognize the one's that have served in the military."

Collins says it costs a few bucks, but it's worth it.

"The cost is $200, plus GST. Of that, the design, the cost of the banner, the arm that has to go up and also hopefully a little bit of the left over money will be donated back to the poppy fund, which in turn goes back to the Veterans."

The banners will hang from Tuesday, October 1 to Tuesday, November 12 at various locations around Town.

80 of the banners are available this year.
