Okotoks native Gage Alexander has signed an entry-level NHL contract with the Anaheim Ducks.

He was initially drafted by the Ducks 148th overall in the 2021 NHL Draft.

The exceedingly tall netminder who stands 6'7" without skates most recently played with the Swift Current Broncos of the WHL.

Prior to playing for the Broncos, he was with the Winnipeg ICE.

He signed the three-year entry-level contract on December 30th and has been assigned to their farm club, the San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League.

Alexander grew up in Okotoks playing for the Okotoks Bow Mark Oilers, the Rockyview Raiders and the Okotoks U15 AA Oilers.
