The local area is going to be well represented at the 2015 ATB Alberta Challenge Cup starting Wednesday April 29 in Medicine Hat

The 120 female hockey players, aged 14-and-15, have been divided up into six teams, three from the south and three from the north.

Defenseman Teghan Inglis of Okotoks suits up for the Coyotes, along with forward Kaya Sanders of Claresholm and goalie Erin Fargey of Langdon.

Chestemere's Rebecca Toney will play forward for the Flyers.

The largest local contingent is on the Lightning, with defensemen Karissa Hammond of Strathmore and Emma Borbandy of Langdon.

They're joined by three forwards, all from Okotoks, Kassey Betinol, Lacey Dimaulo and Brooklyn Palin.
