(The great Maggies Diner is back)

Many people have now heard the news and are resting easy

knowing "Heartland" is returning for an 11th season to CBC TV.

Locals from in and around High River appreciate the benefits of

having a production in town like this because it means more gas

will be sold, snacks, lunches and other purchases happen when

these people are in town.  Although a number of these folks go

home every night the hotels, motels, convenience, grocery and

virtually all business's get a bit of a return when a production

of this stature rolls in to town.

Amber Marshall plays Amy Fleming in this wonderful series

that showcases our beautiful area to the world and has been

doing so for the last 10 years.  Thank you Heartland from all

of us that live in the heart of where this great series is

based.  The first episode of Heartland aired on CBC October 14th

2007 and I for one hope there are several more seasons after

number 11. For more check the link below.

I would like to mention hockey in my blog today and just say

how impressed I am with the many band wagon jumpers that haven't

broken limbs getting on and off of that Calgary Flames wagon.

The Oilers of Edmonton with their many first round draft picks

have fans coming out of the woodwork to cheer them on as well.

I heard this week of one Dad I know taking his son north for a Connor

McDavid Oiler game so I am thinking the team up north is

getting some respect these days as well.  Who knows, maybe another

Battle of Alberta is just around the playoff corner!

Have a great day and keep smiling because it looks good on ya!
