Hockey season may be over for the Okotoks Oilers but there's still plenty of work to do ahead of next season.

Coach and G.M. James Poole, says he's going to spend a lot of the summer visiting players who made an impression at their spring camp.

"You know just because they came to spring camp doesn't mean they're locked in to playing for the Oilers. You know my job is, the recruiting season really kicks into high gear now is, we'll be meeting with a lot of kids that we've identified as players that we really want to get to our organization and get to our main camp in the fall, in August."

Poole says his big job now is convincing the players and their families that the Oilers, and Okotoks, are the right fit for them.
