The BCHL playoffs for the Alberta Divisions Okotoks Oilers start on Wednesday night (April 10) at 7:00 against the Spruce Grove Saints for their game one matchup in their five-game series.

The winner of the series will face the Brooks Bandits as they had a bye into the second round coming in first place during the regular season.

The Green and Gold have won four games against the Saints since January, with Spruce Grove winning two against the Oilers, with the last win coming in the last game of the regular season. Oilers only lost by a single goal in that game, falling 4-3.

Owen MacNeil, the former captain for the Medicine Hat Tigers of the WHL, came away with an assist on all of the Green and Golds goals during their final matchup against the Saints.

The schedule for the series will be:

Game 1: Wednesday April 10 at Centennial Arena

Game 2: Thursday April 11 at Grant Fuhr Arena in Spruce Grove

Game 3: Saturday April 13 at Centennial Arena

Game 4 (if necessary): Monday April 15 at Grant Fuhr Arena in Spruce Grove

Game 5 (if necessary): Tuesday April 16 at Centennial Arena

All games will have a start time of 7:00 p.m., with the Oilers holding home-ice advantage as they finished ahead of Spruce Grove in the regular season standings.

The Green Army will be loud as they cheer on goal scorers, Sam Huck, Jagger Tapper, Jack Silverberg, and the rest of the team when they aim to beat the Saints and move on to the second round to face the Brooks Bandits in what will be a hardnosed series.

The Eagle 100.9 will be broadcasting all the live games in round one and will broadcast both home and away games if the Oilers advanced to round two.
