The Okotoks Oilers are heading into their last pre-season game on a high note.

The team wrapped up the long weekend on Monday night by defeating the Drumheller Dragons 6-2.

Defenseman Connor Chambers says the Oilers held up strong in net.

"Our goal tending was solid," he says. "They had a couple of good chances but our goalies played well and gave us some energy and we ended up getting a W."

The Okotoks squad is now sitting 3-2 in the pre-season as they prepare to head into their last game of the pre-season.

Chambers says the Oilers are working on a few areas before they start the regular season.

"Just staying tough, make sure to stick up for each other... just keep putting pucks in the net and I think we're going to be alright."

The Oilers hit the road Tuesday night to battle the Brooks Bandits.
