The Okotoks Pro Rodeo is once again back for another fun-filled weekend full of rodeo action.

Once again, it's in Millarville and Trevor Reidy, with the Okotoks Pro Rodeo, said they had to expand five or six years ago because they were just out of room in Okotoks.

"[In Okotoks we could only fit] eight hundred people and standing room eleven hundred.  And we go to Millarville and move outside, and we've got eighteen hundred seats...more than doubled our capacity, which we needed."

Not only does the pro rodeo have all the events you would expect like Bull Riding, Bareback, Saddlebronc, Steer Wrestling, Tie-Down Roping and Barrel Racing but they have the classics for the kids that fans absolutely love.

Mutton Bustin', Kids Dummy Roping and the Wild Pony Race are huge fan and family favourites.

There's something new this year too: a Western artisan market.

The Okotoks Pro Rodeo has been around since 1991 and there will be food trucks, live music and a beer garden.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The rodeo starts at 6:00 p.m. both Friday and Saturday with a 2:00 p.m. start on Sunday.

Slack performances on Saturday start at 11:00 a.m.
