The owners of Picasso's Pizza helped their business and at the same time helped out High River's emergency services.

Rob Tipple says when he and his wife took over the business, he found a lot of addresses were difficult to pin down, especially at night, so he tapped into some past work experience to map the town. "We spent about a year and a half where we went through the entire town and we found all the people's addresses, unit numbers for multi-unit structures, so we basically mapped the entire town, right down to the unit levels."

He showed it to the town of High River and the emergency services department has purchased about 20 to help them get to calls quicker. "In a previous job I worked with towns and worked with public works and emergency services so once we got the maps done to where we were satisfied we went to Protective Services and asked them if they would be interested, because we thought there would be a need for them. It's not just an address book like the town would have, they have good maps at the town, but these ones actually give people the access points right to people's units or to their doors."

He says if there are other people in town that would benefit from it he'd be willing to sell it.
