It's the largest show of it's kind in the country and organizers expect more than a thousand exhibitors this weekend.

It's the thirtieth edition of 4-H on Parade at Stampede Park in Calgary.

Regional 4-H Specialist Rob Smith says it's an achievement day for many clubs and although there will be a large beef and light horse presence, there's lot of other projects on display.

"We've got dairy cattle back there for the first time in 20 years, as well as the largest sheep show in the province and probably both the largest display of stock and agility dogs", says Smith.

4-H on Parade begins Friday evening and wraps up Sunday.

Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex is expected to make an appearance at the show.
