The always popular day use area for horseback riders and hikers at Sentinel is open for the season.
The gate was unlocked and opened yesterday on Friday May 12th and is now open until November 30, 2023.
The outdoor toilets are open and ready for the season.
However, there is a fire ban on so no open fires are allowed.
And a reminder that you need to have a Kananaskis Conservation Pass in order to park at the day use area or any other stop in K-Country.
More info on the Pass can be found here.
A day pass costs $15 and a yearly pass costs $90.
And if you're wondering, Hwy 40 doesn't open until June 15th and Highwood River day use area doesn't open until Thursday May 18, and will remain open until October 10.
