A 37-year-old man has died as a result of a crash in the early morning hours this morning, Sunday, Feb. 26.

The single-vehicle collision happened on Deerfoot Trail near Bow Bottom Trail SE.

According to Calgary Police, it's believed a black Jeep Wrangler, driven by a woman in her 20s, was heading southbound when it lost control.

Witnesses reported the vehicle was weaving in and out of traffic eventually striking a snowbank and rolling.

It rolled down the embankment towards Anderson Road.

The 37-year-old man was not wearing his seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.

No charges have been laid as of yet as the investigation continues.
