Jennie Harker celebrates after winning a new LCD TV

They rode far and they rode hard.

Motorcyclists gathered at the River Roadhouse for a pancake breakfast early in the morning on Saturday, July 23 for the 2nd annual Foothills SNAPS Leather n' Chaps Motorcycle Poker Rally.

When the clock struck 11:30, over 100 bikes hit the road and travelled through Nanton, Longview, Okotoks and High River, collecting poker cards hoping to get the best hand.

Orvella Small with Foothills SNAPS says it was a very successful weekend.

Bikers stopped at Rumors in Nanton, the Twin City Hotel in Longview and In Cahoots in Okotoks to collect poker cards, hoping to come out on top with the best hand.

Small says sponsors for the event were from all over.

The winning poker hand went to Jennie Harker from Nanton, who was awarded a 42" flat screen TV, courtesy of Century 21.

Harker had the best hand after five stops, ending up with all 4 Queens.

She also donated $100 cash back to SNAPS.

Small says the event raised over $18,000 for the society.
