Some wheels on the bus were not going round and round

Last week, the Foothills School Division announced that a few bus routes were cancelled, with two of them being in Okotoks.

Those routes were the #62 Eugene Bleau in Longview, the #20 In Town Only, and the #20 Rural Only in Okotoks, which were cancelled from March 25-28.

According to the Foothills School Division, these routes were cancelled due to a driver shortage, which has been affecting Canadian school bus services for several years.

Even though the school division is actively recruiting spare bus drivers, they are currently not able to accommodate the demand to replace drivers when they are absent, which results in route closures.
