Count Calgary Stampeders quarterback, Bo Levi Mitchell, as one of those disappointed the CFL had to cancel their season this year.

Mitchell says it's not worth pointing fingers and placing blame, but time to just look ahead to getting the league going again in 2021.

"I think this is just one of those times that we've got to band together instead of pointing fingers and looking at each other and saying, "Where's mine? Where's Mine?" I just want to see the CFL and the PA, (Players Association), just players, us work together in a more unified sense."

What's going to happen to players and contracts is still very much up in the air with the CFL season being cancelled.

So far no one can answer the question of what's going to happen with that, particularly for players that haven't seen a paycheque since the end of last season and won't see one until at least next year.

Mitchell says it's creates a lot of uncertainty.

"There's a couple of us that re-signed contracts this past year. I'm one of those guys and I was lucky enough to get a signing bonus, so I'm not hurting in the same way as some of the other guys are and I feel for those guys. You know, whether or not guys get compensated, I think that's up to the league and the PA to to figure things out."

Mitchell, says CFL fans are the one's truly paying the bills, and he understands their disappointment over not having football this year.

"The fact that we're such a gate driven league and we need the fans in the stands and it shows that we need to put on a show every time they come out to make sure that we are filling the stands. And make sure that in 2021, when they get to take their seats, that the wait was well worth it."

Mitchell says he's going to concentrate on getting in great shape while crossing his fingers for a season in 2021.
