The Calgary Stampeders were in the nations capital last night to take on the Ottawa Red Blacks and it's fair to say it wasn't their best performance.

Aside from the costly penalties there were some highlights like Bakari Grant hitting the field in red and white for his first game and a 35-yard TD from Bo Levi Mitchell, which also set an all time record for the team.

Mitchell can now be credited for throwing at least one touchdown in 18 straight games.

In the end both teams reached a stalemate and agreed to a tie game of 26 - 26.

The Stamps have some time to regroup before they head to Winnipeg to play the Bombers on Thursday July 21.

Kick off is 6:30pm.
