UPDATE: At approximately 9:40 on Tuesday morning, Calgary Police stated that all lanes of southbound Stoney Trail, between Airport Trail and McKnight Boulevard Northeast, had re-opened.


Southbound lanes on Stoney Trail between Airport Trail and McKnight Boulevard N.E. are closed to traffic.

A serious-injury collision believed to be between a pedestrian and a vehicle occurred sometime around 4 a.m. today, Tuesday, June 25.

The Calgary Police Service currently has a Collision Reconstruction Unit on scene and it's expected to be there for several hours.

Police are asking everyone to use an alternate route until the southbound lanes on Stoney Trail can be reopened.
