When the Calgary Stampede is mentioned in conversation this week it's a lot to talk about,

whether you are a Rodeo fan, Chuckwagon follower or a Foodie on the midway there is something

for everyone and for most it doesn't get old.

Congratulations to the Campbell family of Black Diamond winners in the Farm Family Awards this

week, we have a great story from Jessica on highriveronline.com under agriculture if you would like

to take the time and have a read of a true western farm family.

In heat #8 last night of the Calgary Stampede Rangeland Obrey Motowylo had an accident and

was thrown from the wagon.  Our prayers go out to the driver, family and friends on a quick recovery.

Jason Glass led all of the Wagons last night, check out highriveronline.com for the details and for

day times and the aggregate check the AM 1140 facebook page today, I posted all of them for you

to have a look at.

Rodeo and Pool "B" fired up yesterday at the Calgary Stampede afternoon rodeo which apparently

got hit with a bit of a storm before it was all over.  But, as my wife said to me yesterday coming

home from the Stage West performance of RED Rock Diner, "it always rains during stampede doesn't it"?

I agreed but it doesn't matter that it rains, it's how fast they ran and who won the Bull Riding.
