It was a busy long weekend for me but it was fun and that makes most days go a little

quicker than most.  I give a thumbs up to my start Friday,  starting like any other really, doing the

morning show on AM 1140 and then preparing for a busy Saturday of yard work and then out

to take part in the Sinclair Smith's 100th Anniversary of the Viewfield Ranch west of Okotoks

Congratulations to Ruby, Stuart and family on their wonderful celebration on the ranch.  Thanks

for letting this ol' cowboy with records be a part of the fun.

Sunday morning, "Canada Day" was a blur as I started at 5:30am in the morning after winding down

the Ranch Party around 2am when most of the dancing came to a slow halt.  The Foothills Advocacy

in Motion Society needed a sound system and an announcer to welcome home all of the brave runners who

took on the 1/2 Marathon or 5 and 10 k fun run and walks and I was there proud to be a part of it for

another fun year.  Thanks to Michelle and the crew for having me there.  The Mayor participated along

with local athletes and visitors in for the fun.
